Illuminating castle visit

Accompanied by seven staff members and nine parent volunteers, the 60 children enjoyed building upon their knowledge of castles, knights and dragons, which was the topic of focus in this term’s History lessons.

Pupils toured the vast castle grounds and explored towers and turrets. They were even able to embark upon the Ultimate Kids Tour, which was thoroughly illuminating, thanks to the tour guide, who really brought the magic of the castle to life.

On the tour, they peered into various rooms in the castle and gazed in astonishment at the Falcons Quest bird of prey show.

Children also completed the Horrible Histories maze had great fun playing in Zog’s playground.

Overall, the day was very engaging and informative. The children learned lots of brilliant new facts and are looking forward to applying this information to their classroom learning.
